Currently active in three endeavors: professionally, she works for GWEP, her family’s real estate company, where she identifies land deals that can be developed to provide affordable housing for Mexican families. Additionally Sonia is building a digital museum to document and share the amazing life led by her grandfather, a Holocaust survivor; finally, convinced that education is the key to Mexico’s success. Sonia and a friend launched LaBebeteca.com, an online platform aimed at providing new parents with the most up-to date information in child rearing and child care. Previously, she worked at Bain and Company, a management consulting firm, and Technoserve, a nonprofit focused on providing business tools to small, rural companies. Sonia graduated Tufts Univeristy cum laude with a B.A. in economics and holds an M.B.A. from Harvard University.
